Moving Organizations beyond the Status Quo

Access Auditing

Moving Beyond Special Features and Services

Our Access Auditing Program can assess your facilities and operations for architectural, communication, and policy and procedural barriers. We help ensure your organization is accessible to people with all abilities. Our audits use the highest Universal Design standards available in Canada today.

What is Universal Design?

The Universal Design approach creates environments usable by everyone. Our Auditing Program is about more than barrier-free design and the wheelchair ramp. Barrier-Free Design, although useful, builds specified features only usable by people with disabilities. This often leads to modifications which isolate people both figuratively and literally. Universal Design moves us beyond "special" or "handicapped" accommodations. Being "universally accessible" creates truly functional spaces and a responsive corporate culture.

Accessible corridor

Corridor with wood flooringThe flooring is a good choice, is level and smooth. Corridor offers plenty of space for wheelchairs to pass one another.
